Service Charges and Ground Rent

The budget for the annual service charges is set by Wilbury Grange (Hove) Ltd.

The service charges are collected by the managing agent and are demanded in two stages, on June 24th and December 24th of each year. The period covered by the June collection is April to September and the December collection is for October to March.

The ground rent is collected at the same time but covers the following 6 months.

Your service charges pay for:

  • gas supply for communal hot water & heating
  • Legionella control
  • electricity supply for communal areas
  • heating system repairs and maintenance
  • lift repairs and maintenance
  • light replacement and maintenance
  • general repairs and maintenance
  • pest control
  • entry phone system
  • buildings insurance
  • engineering insurance
  • fire prevention equipment
  • gardening
  • cleaning of the communal ways
  • health & safety
  • administrative and professional fees
  • bank charges
  • legal fees
  • accountancy
  • management fees
  • major works
